BELLEVILLE, Ill. (Heartland Newsfeed) — Three Libertarians wishing to earn the party’s nomination for Illinois’ top executive are scheduled to debate this weekend in Belleville.
Kash Jackson, Matthew C. Scaro and Jon Stewart are scheduled to participate in the second public debate among Libertarian gubernatorial candidates, held by the Metro-East Libertarian Party and moderated by Aaron Wright, field operations division director for the Libertarian Party of Illinois.
The debate is scheduled for Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Southwestern Illinois College’s Liberal Arts Theater on its Belleville campus at 2500 Carlyle Ave. Doors will open at 2:30 p.m. and a meet-and-greet will take place following the debate.
The Libertarian Party of Illinois is scheduled to vote on its gubernatorial and other statewide nominations at its state convention on March 3 in Bloomington. Tickets for the convention are available at lpillinois.org.
